THE LAGOON
INTENTION OF LAGOON SPACE

The lagoon should be a dynamic space for visitors to experience, allowing open, shaded areas for activities and community gatherings to occur, including:
- Fitness
- Sport
- Relaxing
- Dancing
- Socialising
In Cuban culture 'dance is a part of life' so it important to incorporate these spaces into the development for enjoyment and entertainment.
IMPORTANCE OF LOCAL USE
​
As important as encouraging visitors and tourists to the development it is equally as important to allow locals to feel comfortable and as though the space is theirs and an extension of their environment.

The original public pool provided limited capacity and lacked community facilities which the new design intends to repair, shown in the renders and diagrams above
