Downtown Cape Coral is a town is designed around

the use of cars as the primary transport, so it

makes sense why there are so many gas

stations/garages over such a small area in comparison

to Fort Myers.

Downtown Fort Myers is much more pedestrian friendly and the streets are much more densely built up and therefore there is less space for car parking and therefore cars, discouraging companies to build garages as profit will not be as high as somewhere like Downtown Cape Coral.
